Losing the System’s Setup Confi guration
Checklist
Make sure that you are using a high quality power supply. A poor quality
power supply may cause the system to lose the CMOS setup information.
Refer to Section 1-6 for details on recommended power supplies.
The battery on your serverboard may be old. Check to verify that it still sup-
plies ~3VDC. If it does not, replace it with a new one.
If the above steps do not fi x the setup confi guration problem, contact your
vendor for repairs.

Before contacting Technical Support, please take the following steps. Also, note
that as a serverboard manufacturer, we do not sell directly to end-users, so it is
best to fi rst check with your distributor or reseller for troubleshooting services. They
should know of any possible problem(s) with the specifi c system confi guration that
was sold to you.
Please review the ‘Troubleshooting Procedures’ and 'Frequently Asked Ques-
tions' (FAQs) sections in this chapter or see the FAQs on our web site before
contacting Technical Support.
BIOS upgrades can be downloaded from our web site.
Note:
Not all BIOS
can be fl ashed depending on the modifi cations to the boot block code.
If you still cannot resolve the problem, include the following information when
contacting us for technical support:
Serverboard model and PCB revision number
BIOS release date/version (this can be seen on the initial display when your
system fi rst boots up)
System confi guration
