Hot Plug
This feature designates this port for hot plugging. Set this item to Enabled for hot-
plugging support, which will allow the user to replace a SATA drive without shutting
down the system. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
External Device
Select Enabled for external SATA device support. The options are
Enabled
and
Disabled.
Mechanical Switch
Select Enabled for mechanical switch support. The options are
Disabled
and
Enabled.
SATA 2 Controller
This feature allows the user to con

gure the settings of SATA 2.0 devices
SATA Controller
Select Enabled to enable the onboard SATA 2.0 controller on the motherboard. The
options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
SATA Mode
This item selects the mode for the installed SATA drives. The options are IDE,
and
AHCI
.
LPM (Link Power Management)
Select Enabled to support Link Power Management to improve system power
management. The options are Disabled, and
Enabled
.
Aggressive Link Power Management
This feature Enables or Disables Agressive Link Power Management sup-
port for Cougar Point B0 stepping and later. The options are
Enabled
and
Disabled.
Overwrite SIR Values
Select Enabled to overwrite SIR values. The options are Enabled, and
Disabled
.
SATA Port 2/SATA Port 3/SATA Port 4/SATA Port 5
The submenu below allows the user to con
fi
gure the following settings for SATA
Port 2, SATA Port 3, SATA Port 4, or SATA Port 5.
Spin Up
On an edge detect from 0 to 1, use this feature to set a COMRESET initialization
sequence for a device. The options are Enabled and
Disabled
.
