Chapter 3: Maintenance and Component Installation
Power Supply
This power supply can operate at an input voltage from 100 to 240 volts. If replacing, use
the exact same model. New units can be ordered directly from Supermicro or authorized
distributors.
Changing the Power Supply Module
1. Power down the system, unplug the AC cord from the module, and remove the cover.
2. Remove the power cables to internal components.
3. Remove the three screws, located on the ear of the chassis and one screw at the front
of the power supply and underside of the chassis, as illustrated below. Lift the unit out of
the chassis.
4. Insert the new unit into position and secure it with the screws.
5. Reconnect the internal power cables
6. Reconnect the external power cord and replace the chassis top cover.
