Hard Drive Installation
Two 2.5" internal hard drives may be installed in a drive bracket, which is included
in the system.
Installing/Removing Hard Drives
1. Begin by powering down the system and removing the power cords from the
power supplies.
1. Remove the hard drive bracket (located at the front-right side of the chassis)
with the four screws, as shown in Figure 6-3.
2. Insert up to two drives into the bracket with the printed circuit board side fac-
ing down. and the power and data connections facing toward the inside of the
chassis.
3. Secure the drive to the carrier with screws just removed.
4. Connect the power and data cables to the drives.
5. Replace the cover and power up the server.
Warning: Enterprise level hard disk drives are recommended for use in Supermicro
