Serial Port
Select Enabled to enable a serial port specified by the user. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
Serial Port Mode
The options are
SOL
and COM.
Device Settings
This feature indicates whether or not a reset is required for a serial port specified.
Change Settings
Use this feature to set the optimal Platform Environment Control Interface (PECI)
setting for a serial port specified. The default setting is
Auto
, which will allow the
AMI BIOS to automatically select the best setting for the PECI platform.
Device Mode
Use this feature to select the desired mode for a serial port specified. The options
are Normal and High Speed.
ME (Management Engine) Updates
ME Updates
Select Enabled to update ME settings. The options are
Enabled
and Disabled.
Serial Port Console Redirection
These submenus allow the user to configure the following Console Redirection
settings for a COM Port 0 or COM Port 1 as specified by the user.
COM 0/COM 1
Console Redirection
Select Enabled to use a COM Port selected by the user for Console Redirection.
The options are Enabled and Disabled. (The default setting for COM0 is
Disabled

and for COM1 is

Console Redirection Settings
This feature allows the user to specify how the host computer will exchange
data with the client computer, which is the remote computer used by the user.
