10.12 dot1x port-control
This command configures the authenticator port control parameter and the no form of the command sets
the authenticator port control state to force authorized.
dot1x port-control {auto|force-authorized|force-unauthorized}
no dot1x port-control
Syntax Description
force-authorized
- All the traffic will be allowed without any restrictions
forceunauthorized
- All the traffic over the interface will be blocked
auto
- Enables 802.1x authentication on the interface and cause the port to transition to the authorized
or unauthorized state based on the 802.1x authentication exchange between the
server and the client

smis(config-if)# dot1x port-control auto
The auto keyword can be used only if the port is not configured.
The 802.1x protocol is supported on both Layer 2 static-access ports and Layer 3 routed ports.
