Installation/Removal
Accessing the Drive Bays
SCSI/SATA Drives: Because of their hotswap capability, you do not need to access
the inside of the chassis or power down the system to install or replace SCSI/SATA
drives. Proceed to the next step for instructions.
Note:
You must use standard 3.5" SCSI/SATA drives in the 1010P-8(R)/1010P-
T(R).
DVD/CD-ROM/Floppy Disk Drives: For installing/removing a DVD/CD-ROM or
fl oppy disk drive, you will need to gain access to the inside of the system by remov-
ing the top cover of the chassis. Proceed to the "DVD/CD-ROM and Floppy Drive
Installation" section later in this chapter for instructions.
Note:
Only "slim" DVD/CD-ROM and fl oppy drives will fi t into the 1010P-8(R)/1010P-
T(R).
