INSTALLATION

NOTICE:  This  appliance  is  intended  for
supplemental heating. Use this appliance
along with your primary heating system. Do
not install this appliance as your primary
heat source. If you have a central heating
system, you may run system’s circulating
blower while using appliance. This will help
circulate the heat throughout the house. In
the event of a power outage, you can use
this appliance as your primary heat source.

WARNING: A qualifi ed service person

must install appliance. Follow all local
codes.

CAUTION: This fi replace creates warm

air currents. These currents move heat to
wall surfaces next to fi replace. Installing
fi replace next to vinyl or cloth wall cover-

(such as, but not limited to, tobacco smoke,
aromatic  candles,  cleaning  fl uids,  oil  or
kerosene lamps, etc.) in the air exist, may
discolor walls or cause odors.

 WARNING: This appliance is equipped

for either natural gas or propane/LP gas but
not both. Gas type is indicated on the rating
plate. Field conversion is not permitted.

WARNING: Never install the fi replace

IMPORTANT

:

Vent-free fi replaces add moisture to

the air. Although this is benefi cial, installing fi re-
place in rooms without enough ventilation air may
cause  mildew  to  form  from  too  much  moisture.
See

.

NOTE

: Your fi replace is designed to be used in zero

clearance installations. Wall or framing material can be
placed directly against any exterior surface on the rear,
sides, or top of your fi replace, except where standoff
spacers are integrally attached. If standoff spacers are
attached to your fi replace, these spacers can be placed
directly against wall or framing materials.

NOTE

: When installing fi replace directly on carpet-

ing, tile or other combustible material, other than
wood fl ooring, the fi replace shall be installed on a
