6-2 Removing the Chassis Cover
Removing the Chassis Cover
1. Disconnect the chassis from any power source.
2. Remove the six screws that secure the top rear cover to the chassis as il-
lustrated above.
3. Lift the rear cover up and off the chassis.
4. Remove the screws around the main top cover to remove it from the chassis.
Warning:
Except for short periods of time, do NOT operate the server without the
cover in place. The chassis cover must be in place to allow proper airfl ow and prevent
overheating.
