Watch Dog
Watch Dog is a system monitor that can
reboot the system when a software ap-
plication hangs. Close pins 1~2 of jumper
P1-JWD1 (for mode 1) or P2-JWD1 (for
node 2) to reset the system if an applica-
tion hangs. Close pins 2~3 of P1-JWD1
(mode 1) or P2-JWD1 (node 2) to generate
a non-maskable interrupt signal for the ap-
plication that hangs. See the table on the
right for jumper settings. Watch Dog must
also be enabled in BIOS.

JPME2 (node 2) to bypass SPI fl ash secu-
rity and force the system into Manufacturer
Mode, which allows the user to fl ash the
system fi rmware from a host server to
modify system settings. See the table on
the right for jumper settings.

Set jumpers P1-JPME1/P2-JPME1 to
select the ME Firmware Recovery mode
for node 1 or node 2, respectively. ME Re-
covery limits system resource for essential
function use only without putting restric-
tions on power use. In the single-operation
mode, online upgrade will be available via
Recovery mode. See the table on the right
for pin defi nitions.
VGA Enable/Disable
Jumpers P1-JPG1/P2-JPG1 allow the user
to enable the onboard VGA support for
Node 1 (P1-JPG1) or Node 2 (P2-JPG1).
The default setting is 1-2 to enable VGA
support. See the table on the right for
jumper settings.
