TECHNICAL PASSPORT INSTALLATION and OPERATION MANUAL

Boiler cleaning must be carried out periodically and adequately every 3 to 5 days. Ash
accumulated in the combustion chamber, condensed moisture and tar deposits
significantly reduce the life span and performance of the boiler and result in
deterioration of the properties of the heat exchange surface.
When a new heating season starts it is recommended the boiler to be cleaned by
authorized service.
It is also recommended to throw out the ash from the combustion chamber each 3 to
5 days depending of the fuel used. Scrape the inside of flue pipes if necessary.
Use the tools from the set that accompanies the boiler.
Caution! Ashes may contain smoldering charcoal. Dispose of ashes only in
specially designated facilities. Disposing of ashes into public garbage
containers may cause fire.
Recommended boiler maintenance procedures:
1. Clean thoroughly the combustion chamber of the boiler. Use the metal brush from
the set that accompanies the boiler. Remove tar and soot deposits as they obstruct
normal heat transfer.
2. Dismount the internal protective grates that lay onto the heat exchanging pipes in
the combustion chamber of the boiler. Clean thoroughly the heat exchanging pipes.
Remove the soot and the tar. Use the raker and metal brush from the set that
accompanies the boiler.
Caution! Replace inspection cover gaskets with new ones if their integrity
is compromised.
3. Make sure that the metal grates are well cleaned before you put it back into the
combustion chamber. Check whether gaps between heat transfer pipes are well
cleaned. Tar deposits or residues of non- combustive materials inside the boiler
combustion chamber deteriorate normal combustion process.
4. Clean up to the end fume exhaust tube with the brush. Blockage interfere with
normal operation of the boiler and reduces power.
5. Dismount the inspection covers positioned under the boiler’s chimney and clean
the ash.
6. Check if the doors are sealed well.
In case of necessity of regulation of doors or change of the insulation rope, please
contact your authorized installer.
9.3. Important recommendations for long-lasting and correct operation of the
boiler.
- Carry out periodic maintenance of boiler following the prescriptions in Section 9.2.
