Troubleshooting
Problem
Solution
Lift does not operate with manual switch
on RC box
Check power on RC box is on
Check battery voltage
Lift does not operate with key fob trans-
mitter buttons.
Check that lift operates with manual switches on RC box (see
above)
Re-program key fob transmitter per instructions in RC manual
Check battery voltage in key fob transmitter
Key fob transmitter has limited range
Check battery voltage in key fob transmitter
Hold transmitter in different location (over head, or different
location in boat)
Proximity to cell phone towers, power lines and other electro-
magnetic interference can also reduce range.
Cover does not actuate after lift is fully
raised
Confirm pump relief pressure has been increased by 1/4 turn
(250 psi)
Check fluid level is not below pump intake in tank
Trouble shoot SQBB valve, confirm pressure reaches 3350
psi and replace valve if required
Lift begins to lower before boat is fully
uncovered
Confirm cover is installed and roller is torqued properly
Confirm adequate fluid level in tank
Conform no air in system
Replace CBBG valve with CBBA valve
Fluid found in bottom of Power Pack
On a new lift, sometimes air in the system expands and
causes fluid to overflow
Check fluid level after installation is complete and all air is
purged from system
Check for leaks. Tighten hose fittings or gaskets as neces-
sary.
Battery terminal becomes hot
Check battery cable and terminals are clean and tight on bat-
tery terminal
Roller does not pull cover tight when
removing cover or roller stops rolling.
Check roller is properly torqued per instructions in manual
Check cover is not catching on Fin Plates. Add Wind Guide
accessory if needed
Cover does not catch bow of boat
Check Roller is properly torqued
Adjust bow guide ropes per step 3E
Add elastic cord per step 3F
Cover does not “pop” over rub rail shoul-
ders
Adjust Bow guide ropes per step 3E
If necessary widen spreader bar
