To recharge the battery, remove the battery (14) from the Scooter (fig. 3), put it in a safe place away from people
and flammable objects, unscrew the cap of the charging connector (24) (fig. 4), connect the socket battery charger
power supply to the mains and connect the charging connector (26) to the battery charger (see Battery charger user
manual). At the end of charging, disconnect the battery charger and screw the cap (24) of the connector (26) back
on. Insert the battery into the scooter only if you intend to use it.
10.4. RECHARGE FROM OUTSIDE
CAUTION!!!
DO NOT CHARGE THE NiMh BATTERY WITH EXTERNAL CHARGE:
THE BATTERY MAY EXPLODE !
EXTERNAL CHARGING is permitted ONLY for VRx with LI-ION BATTERY using
appropriate charger.
10.5. BATTERY GAUGE DISCLAIMER
Two LEDs are present on the right side of the SCOOTER:
•
BLUE LED lights up when the switch is turned, regardless of whether it is in the SLOW or FAST position.
•
RED LED lights up when the battery is almost empty and warns that approximately 15 minutes are still available
in the slow position and 10 minutes in the fast position (with new battery pack).
•
The charge indicator on board the SCOOTER or its display on an external device (only for LI ION batteries)
provides an approximate indication of the battery charge status.
•
The charge indicator on the SCOOTER provides an approximate indication of the state of charge of the battery.
At the end of charger and before every dive make sure that the CAP (6A) IS
CLOSED CORRECTLY (tighten by HAND WITHOUT FORCE).
Before screwing the cap (6A) verify that the O-Ring and its seat are clean and
adequately LUBRICATED WITH VASELINE.
