Before starting the machine for the first time, carefully wipe the machine and
remove all rustpreventatives, such as Vaseline, paying particular attention to
the sewing components.
Starting up. Lubricating and cleaning machine
Instructions for lubrication are given in Fig. 2 and Fig. 3.
The machine should also be cleaned daily. Material fibres and dust collecting
on moving parts of the machine may cause problems.

The handwheel shaft turns clockwise when viewed from the right.
