Environmental Requirements
• The V650 Flex printer is for indoor use only.
• Air quality conditions with excessive solid particulates (conductive or non-conductive) may
result in system damage.
• Air quality conditions in which airborne oils are allowed to accumulate on or within the
printer can damage the plastic components.
• System operating temperature shall be in the range of 59°F to 72°F (15°C to 22°C), with
relative humidity range of 10% to 50% non-condensing.
• System storage temperature shall be in the range of 32°F to 95°F (0°C to 35°C), with
relative humidity range of 20% to 90% non-condensing.
• Altitude shall not exceed 6561.68 feet (2000 m).
• Material storage shall be in the range of 55°F to 86°F (13°C to 30°C), with relative humidity
less than 70%.
Heat Output
The following information may be used for preparing the site to handle the V650 Flex
printer’s heat output. It is provided to assist in correctly sizing the site’s HVAC system.
• Typical Heat output: 210W or 716 BTU per hour
Typical heat output is calculated at 50% of typical power consumption:
3.5Amps @ 120V. 120 * 3.5 * 50% = 210W; 210 * 3.41 = 716BTU/hr
• Maximum Heat output:
~1000W or ~3410 BTU per hour
Exhaust Ducting (Optional)
Although not required, a "fume extraction" exhaust/ducting system may be connected to the
V650 Flex printer.
The printer’s build chamber (behind the clear acrylic window), has openings that allow any
fumes created during the build process to rise into the laser enclosure above. The laser
enclosure has forced air moving through it. The printer has an inlet fan and outlet foam flter
with a plastic guard (
shows "cut-out and mounting" dimensions in back of
the enclosure for the outlet filter guard. The desired exhaust ducting may be directly attached
to the enclosure, using the attachment holes used to secure outlet filter and guard.
• Inlet Fan: AC Fan, 6.75" Diameter x 2" Depth, 290 CFM, 120 VAC - McMaster-Carr P/N

• Outlet Filter & Guard: Plastic Guard w/Foam Filter - 60ppi, for 5.91"/6.75" - McMaster-Carr

Some resins will require lower humidity ranges to operate correctly.
