SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

6.1

How to proceed during a power outage

A power outage at any time during automatic regulation is no reason to reduce or stop the ongoing
heating process. However, it is important to keep in mind that the Air flap will stay in the same
position as when the outage began.
If you need to stoke more fuel, the Air flap will need to be manually opened to the 100 % position
(see next section).

6.1.1

Manually opening the Air flap

Remove the orange plastic piece and magnet from the Air flap. Place the side with the magnet onto
the black circle on the servomotor labelled

magnetic gear release

. This will release the clutch and

allow the shaft to be rotated (i.e. turning the Air flap). You can then manually turn the shaft in a
clockwise direction as far as it will allow. This will open the Air flap to its 100 % position.

After the Air

flap has been opened, remove the piece and magnet from the servomotor and return it to its
original position.

No further manual interference with the automatic regulator is required once

power has been restored—the regulator will automatically calibrate the shutter.

MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

The automatic burning regulator does not require any special maintenance. Do not use any
aggressive cleaning agents or coarse materials that could damage the device.

GENERAL PROVISIONS

This manual is a part of the product and should be stored near the device to allow quick and
easy access to information.

The device is not intended for use or purposes other than those described in this manual.

The operator must regularly conduct a visual check of the device and ensure basic external
maintenance.

Avoid any contact of the device with water or humidity, and always use the device under the
prescribed  operating  conditions.  Protect  the  device  from  the  effects  of  significant
fluctuations in surrounding temperatures in high atmospheric humidity in order  to prevent
condensation of water vapour in the device.

Before any maintenance work, disconnect all connections to power!

If a defect or malfunction occurs, return the device to the distributor or installation company,
together with a detailed description of the defect.

Maintain the prescribed maximum current output load – see the electrical data.

The device must not be used in rooms that are exposed to flammable or explosive chemicals,
dust, gases or vapors.

SIC 700 SMART

fireplace insert can only be connected to an alternating current power point

with a voltage of 230V/50Hz.
