After installing the control device, laying the high-voltage cable and attaching the stainless steel contact plates, the
setup should be retested to ensure that it functions correctly. Perform the test using a standard multimeter. Set “direct
current – 300 V” and measure the voltage between the two stainless steel contact plates (should read 250–300 V). If the
function check is successful but voltage fails to build up after installation, an installation error has occurred.
The red diode confirms that the ultrasonic speaker is functioning. The yellow LEDs confirm that high voltage has built up.
Blinking at regular intervals (approx. every 5 seconds) = OK: ultrasound is being emitted, high voltage has built up.
Fast blinking = voltage is building up/dissipating. Caution: residual voltage!
LED off = device is switched off.
1.
Is the operating voltage (12 V plus and minus) of the car battery also present at the unit connections?
2.
Is the engine switched off?
3.
Does the cable to terminal 15 have any voltage? (Is the ignition switched on? If so, the device will be switched off.)
4.
Have all the plus stainless steel contact plates been installed so that they do not touch any other live or earthed
parts (risk of short circuit)?
5.
Has the position of the stainless steel contact plates on the cable been changed, damaging the copper core?
6.
No voltage detected on the stainless steel contact plate: Has insulating material from the high-voltage cable
worked its way into the screw thread?
7.
Is the bonnet contact switch active and is this function available?

The bracket is fixed in such a way that the bonnet activates the pressure pin of the bonnet contact switch, i.e. so that the electric circuit is
interrupted when the bonnet is opened.
