4.3.12 timer - time control
With the remote control, you can programme your appliance
so that it starts and stops automatically at a specific time. The
switching tolerance can be up to one minute from the real time
programmed in the remote control.
You can set the start and stop times for a 24-hour period. The
shortest switching interval is ten minutes.
Timer ON: The appliance, which was off, starts up at the
programmed time.
Timer OFF: The appliance, which was on, shuts down at the
programmed time.
You can programme the start and stop times independently,
whether the appliance is on or off. You can programme a start
time and a stop time.

Press the TIMER key. The TIMER ON symbol appears and the
time associated with TIMER flashes.

Press repeatedly or hold down the increase/decrease key to
set the required start time. If you do not press any key for
about three seconds, the remote control accepts the set time.

Press the TIMER key repeatedly until the TIMER OFF symbol
appears and the time associated with TIMER flashes. Press
repeatedly or hold down the increase/decrease key to set
the required stop time. If you do not press any key for about
three seconds, the remote control accepts the set time.

To delete the TIMER program, press the CANCEL key.
4.3.13 sleeP - time control
The SLEEP function can be enabled in the cooling, heating and
AuTO operating modes.

Press the SLEEP key to start or stop this function.
In HEAT mode, the SLEEP function effects a controlled setback
of the room temperature at 1 °C an hour. After two hours, this
setback is stopped and the fan is switched to a lower fan stage.
The anti-cold wind function is enabled. After seven hours, the
appliance stops.
In COOL mode, the SLEEP function effects a controlled increase
of the room temperature at 1 °C an hour. After two hours, this
increase is stopped and the fan is switched to a lower fan stage.
After seven hours, the appliance stops.
In addition, you can combine the SLEEP function with a TIMER
function.
- SLEEP and TIMER ON make the appliance start at the time
set in TIMER. The appliance starts automatically in the SLEEP
function with the default settings.
- SLEEP and TIMER OFF make the appliance stop at the set
time, as long as the time left before the TIMER stop time is
less than seven hours. If the time left before the TIMER shut-
down is more than seven hours, the appliance continues to
run with a low fan stage after the SLEEP function has ended,
until TIMER shutdown.
4.4 specific settings
4.4.1 air outlet
Observe the following information for further handling and control
of the air flaps.
When the appliance is off or in TIMER mode, the function of the
DIRECTION and SWING key is blocked.
Never operate the appliance in COOL or DRY mode for a prolonged
period with the air flow pointing downwards, to prevent condensate
building up on the air outlet flap. Dripping condensate can cause
material damage to furniture and floor coverings, for example.
Never manually adjust the air flap. Manual adjustment can damage
the air flap drive and mechanical linkage. Stop the appliance with
the remote control and restart it after a few seconds. The air flap
moves automatically into the parking position, and is recalibrated
there.
4.4.2 direction - adjusting the air outlet flap
In all operating modes, the appliance automatically selects the
optimum position for the air outlet flap.
COOL - cooling: The air flow is blown out horizontally
HEAT - heating: The air flow is blown out downwards

You can adjust the position of the air outlet flap to suit your
personal requirements.

Press the DIRECTION key on the remote control.
Each time you press this key again, the position of the air flap is
altered by a few degrees. When the air flap reaches one of the two
end positions, further adjustments take it in the opposite direction.
4.4.3 swing - automatically oscillating air outlet flap
You can make the air outlet flap oscillate automatically from
bottom to top and back again. The SWING angle is specified subject
to the operating mode of the internal appliance.

control.
