4.3.5 setting the time
After inserting the batteries in the remote control, you can enter
the current time.
f
Press the CLOCK key until the time display starts flashing.
f
Press the increase or decrease key to set the time. Every time
you press the key, a change of one minute is effected. Hold
the key down for longer to change the time in 10-minute
steps. About five seconds after you have pressed the key for
the last time, the remote control accepts the set time.
4.3.6 cool - cooling mode
In the COOL operating mode, the appliance cools the room air to
the selected set temperature. The fan stage and the position of the
air outlet flap can be freely selected. When the set temperature is
reached, the appliance reduces the cooling output.
f
Press the MODE key (operating mode) on the remote control
repeatedly until the symbol for the COOL operating mode is
shown on the display.
The remote control display shows the last selected temperature
and fan stage. You can select the fan stages AuTO, LOW, MED or
HIGH.
In cooling mode, the air should exit the appliance evenly towards
the front (horizontally) to optimise the cooling effect in the entire
room.
!
Risk of damage:
Never operate the appliance in COOL or DRY mode for a
prolonged period with the air flow pointing downwards,
to prevent condensate building up on the air outlet flap.
Dripping condensate can cause material damage to
furniture and floor coverings, for example.
4.3.7 Heat - heating mode
In the „heating“ operating mode, the appliance heats the room air
to the selected set temperature. The fan stage and the position of
the air outlet flap can be freely selected. When the set temperature
has been reached, the appliance reduces the heating output.
» Press the MODE key (operating mode) on the remote control
repeatedly until the symbol for HEAT mode is shown on the display.
The remote control display shows the last selected temperature
and fan stage. You can select the fan stages AuTO, LOW, MED or
HIGH.
In heating mode, the air should exit the unit downwards (vertically)
to optimise the heating effect in the entire room.
4.3.8 turBo mode
f
In COOL mode, press the TuRBO key to start and stop the fan
and compressor in their highest stages.
Turbo mode is terminated automatically after 30 minutes. The
appliance returns to the previous operating mode with the
settings it had before. As the set temperature is approached, the
compressor output is controlled automatically. TuRBO mode is not
displayed on the internal appliance or remote control.
4.3.9 Fan - ventilation mode
In the FAN operating mode, it is not possible to set the temperature.
No temperature is shown on the display.
Press the FAN key to set the fan stage in the order AuTO-LOW-
MED-HIGH.
4.3.10 dry - dehumidifying mode
At a low fan speed, the appliance circulates the room air and
extracts its humidity. The external unit is started and stopped
regularly. The fan stage is set to its lowest output and cannot be
changed. The position of the air outlet flap can be freely selected.
The room air is automatically cooled slightly.
f
Press the MODE key (operating mode) on the remote control
repeatedly until the symbol for the DRY (dehumidifying)
operating mode is shown on the display. The temperature
display shows the last set value. The increase/decrease keys
are enabled.
- The further the set temperature is below the actual room
temperature, the higher the dehumidifying output.
- The further the set temperature is above the actual room
temperature, the lower the dehumidifying output.
Please note that the DRY temperature display is not a set
temperature display. This temperature display is only used as a
reference for the dehumidifying output.
In dehumidifying mode, the air should exit the appliance evenly
towards the front (horizontally) to optimise the dehumidifying
effect in the entire room.
!
Risk of damage:
Never operate the appliance in COOL or DRY mode for a
prolonged period with the air flow pointing downwards,
to prevent condensate building up on the air outlet flap.
Dripping condensate can cause material damage to
furniture and floor coverings, for example.
4.3.11 auto - automatic mode
In automatic mode, the appliance constantly compares the
current room temperature with the selected set temperature, and
automatically selects the relevant operating mode COOL, HEAT or
FAN, to balance out the room temperature in case of discrepancies.
In case of very strong temperature fluctuations, the compressor
stops for up to 15 minutes to prevent frequent changeover between
the operating modes.
You can enable AuTO mode as follows:
f
Press the MODE key (operating mode) on the remote control
repeatedly until the symbol for AuTO operating mode is
shown on the display.
The remote control display shows the last selected temperature.
No fan stage is displayed.
f
Set the required room temperature using the increase/de-
crease key.
