Safety instructions
Disposal: Packaging is to be disposed of
correctly. Electrical equipment is to be dispo-
sed of at recycling collection points for scrap electrical
and electronic equipment. The Electrical and Electronic
Equipment Act relating to the disposal of electrical equip-
ment does not apply in this instance. Rechargeable and
single-use batteries are to be disposed of in accordance
with § 12 of the Battery Ordinance (BattV), either via the
manufacturer or at an appropriate collection point. Electri-
cal equipment and batteries must not be disposed of with
household waste.
Compatibility: When putting together a system consisting
of various devices made by different manufacturers, sys-

lity must be authorised by the manufacturer.
Conformity ;¥";;"
with the recognised rules of engineering. For electrical
equipment, an EC declaration of conformity may be re-
quested from the manufacturer. Note: If the equipment
(e.g. a drive unit) is part of a machine within the context of
the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, this does not render
the distributor/installer exempt from providing the custo-
mer with the necessary installation instructions, labelling,

Warranty: The “ZVEI Green Delivery Terms” are taken as
agreed.
The warranty period for materials supplied is 12 months.
Any work carried out on the equipment or the whole sys-
tem that is not authorised by the manufacturer will render
any liability invalid, in this case warranties and services
will be not provided.

maximum care has been taken, no liability will be accep-
ted for contents.

During installation, the appropriate laws, regulations, gui-
delines and standards must be observed such as e.g. the

Cabling for extra-low voltages (e.g. 24 VDC) is to be laid
separately from low-voltage lines (e.g. 230 VAC). Flexible
cables must be laid in such a way that they cannot be
sheared off, twisted or snapped during operation. Power
supplies, control units and junction boxes must be ac-
cessible for maintenance work. Cable types, lengths and
cross-sections are to comply with technical guidelines.
Before work is carried out on the system,
the mains voltage and emergency power supply
(eg. rechargeable batteries) are to be isolated from all
poles and made safe in order to prevent accidental restar-
ting. Never operate the drive units, control units, operator
controls and sensors on supply voltage and connections
in any way that contravenes the guidelines laid down in
the operator manual. Failure to comply carries a risk of fa-
tal injury and may lead to the destruction of components!
Mechanical safety
Falling window casements: Window casements are to be
mounted or installed in such a way that even if one of the
suspension elements should fail, the structural design
prevents the unit from falling or moving in an uncontrolled
way, e.g. by means of a double suspension system,
safety scissor stay or safety catch. Please note: In order
to prevent the blocking/falling of the window, the safety
scissor stay/safety catch must be compatible with the
intended opening span and the mechanism of the window.

and gates (BGR 232) and the ZVEI brochure

red or supplied with the product must be adapted to the
building and the corresponding load and supplemented if
necessary.
Crush and shear points:
Power-operated windows, doors and gates:
Suitable measures must be taken in order to secure any
crush and shear hazard areas against trapping, e.g. bet-
ween the window casement and the frame or between the
skylight dome and the base, and thus prevent injury. See
also the directive for power-operated windows, doors and
gates (BGR 232) and the ZVEI brochure
"RWA-Aktuell Nr. 3, kraftbetätigte Fenster".
Accident prevention and health and safety regulations and
trade association rules: For works to, on or in a building
or part thereof, the relevant accident prevention regula-
tions (UVV) and trade association rules (BGR) are to be
observed.
Environmental conditions: The product must not be kno-
cked, dropped or exposed to vibration, moisture, aggressi-
ve vapours or harmful environments, unless the manufac-
turer has authorised one or more of these environmental
conditions in connection with the product.
