Final Assembly Continued
Servos
110. Cut three of the four arms off of the HS-55 servo control horn.
111. If necessary, ream out the hole in the control arm and fit one Dubro E/Z
Connector [DUB845], supplied with your kit.
112. Mount the servo in the opening in F1. Mount the control horn so that it
extends outward, perpendicular to the servo 90 degrees. Use the hardware
supplied with your servos for mounting.
113. Repeat steps 110 through 112 to install the second servo.
114. Install a strip of 3/4 in self-adhesive Velcro [DUB348] (hook side) down the
length of F1, forward of the servos. We’ve found that wicking a little thin CA
around the edges of the Velcro helps back up the adhesive, preventing it
from pulling out later.
115. Stick a small patch of Velcro (loop side) to the bottom of your receiver, and
mount the receiver just forward of the servos.
Ensure that there is enough
room between the servos and receiver to allow free movement of the
control horns.
Landing Gear
116. If you are using the recommended wheels [DUB250SL], you will need to
“bush” them so that they will fit properly on the wire landing gear. Cut two
bushings from the supplied 1/8 in. diameter aluminum tube to 5/8 in. in
length. Using a sharp hobby knife, de-burr the inside of the tubing at each
end until it slides over the wire landing gear easily.
117. Slide one of the bushings onto the landing gear, and then slide one of the
wheels over the bushing.
118. Retain the wheel and bushing with one of the rubber wheel retainers.
119. Repeat steps 117 and 118 to mount the remaining bushing and wheel.
