Fuselage Continued
Remaining Side and Top Formers
9.
Fit fuselage side F8 to the fuselage assembly. Carefully fit the tabs on F1, formers F2 and
F3, and the landing gear parts F5, F6, and F7 to their corresponding slots in the fuselage
side. Square assembly on a flat surface and bond all mating surfaces with thin CA.
10.
Fit F9 along tab and notch locations at fuselage
bottom forward
of former F3 and tabs at
former F3. Bond F9 to the assembly in the area where it makes contact with these parts as
illustrated.
11.
Pull fuselage sides together, fitting the tabs of the fuselage bottom F9 to the slots in the
fuselage sides. Align and square fuselage sides where they taper together at
aft
most end
of fuselage. Use a low tack painters masking tape to retain the fuselage sides at the tail of
the aircraft, then bond F9 to the fuselage sides.
12.
Fit the stabilizer mount F10 to the
top, rear
of the fuselage sides as illustrated. Ensure F10
is properly seated within the fuselage sides and bond to retain.
13.
Fit and bond former F11 to the notches in the fuselage sides immediately ahead of part F10.
14.
Fit, square, and bond former F12 to the notches in F1 immediately ahead of former F3.
15.
Fit, square, and bond former F13 to the slots in F1 immediately behind former F2.
Motor Mount
16.
Fit the ply motor mount supports F14 and F15 to the front of former F2, note that the edge
of these parts marked

will align flush with the bottom of former F2.
