Control box
The control panel on the front of the control box has all functions necessary to control
the operation of the column lift. An emergency stop switch is also located on the
control panel. The components of the control panel and their functions are described
in chapter
3.8
Pallet lifting mechanism
The pallet lifting mechanism is fitted with two wheels, and is used for relocating the
column lift. Mounted at the rear, these safeguard the column lift against toppling over
when it is being relocated. When relocating the column lift, the pallet lifting
mechanism raises the rear of the column off the floor so that it can be moved more
easily.
3.9
Retractable wheels (RS models)
The front wheels are controlled simultaneously with the lifting and lower of the pallet
lifting mechanism.
3.10
Locking feature
If the hydraulic pressure fails while a vehicle is being raised, lowered or standing still
above the first safety lock on the lifting system, a mechanical safeguard will ensure
that the vehicle cannot fall.
The characteristic clicking sound indicates that the locking pawl is active. When
lowering, the pawl is retracted by a solenoid.
3.11
Adjustable forks
The forks can be adjusted manually for a large number of tyre sizes. A mechanical
locking feature prevents the forks from moving under a load.
