7.6
Maintenance procedures
7.6.1 Removal and installation of the lifting cylinder
Proceed as follows to remove the cylinder:
1.
At the top of the column lift, remove the plastic cap, nut and washer.
2.
Raise the guide block to its top position and then lower it into the first locking
position.
3.
Press the <SELECT> button and the <DOWN> button to lower the cylinder. It will
take approximately 2 minutes before the cylinder is fully lowered.
4.
Uncouple the hydraulic coupling at the bottom of the cylinder.
5.
Lift the cylinder about 3/4" to withdraw it from its seating on the bottom end.
6.
Pull the cylinder forwards.
7.
Remove the elastic ring from the head of the cylinder.
Proceed as follows to install the cylinder:
1.
Place the elastic ring on the head of the cylinder.
2.
Place the cylinder inside the guide block and ensure that it drops into the seating in
the plate below the cylinder.
3.
Make the hydraulic coupling at the bottom of the cylinder.
4.
Press the <SELECT> button and the <UP> button to raise the cylinder. Release the
button as soon as the cylinder begins to raise the guide block (the head of the
cylinder must protrude through the hole in the top plate).
5.
Press the <SELECT> button and the <DOWN> button to lower the cylinder.
6.
Fit the nut and washer.
7.
Press the <SELECT> and the <UP> button and open the bleed valve until a
continuous flow of oil appears.
8.
Close the bleed valve and fit the cap.

Solution
The column lift has reached its highest point.
The column lift will again operate normally if
you press the <DOWN> button.
