10 Maintenance, repair
7. Lightly moisten the toothed belt and spline
shaft with long-term lubricant such as Klüber
BARRIERTA L55/1 or Festo LUB-KL5.
8. Check the spline shaft for ease of movement
when inserting it into the splined hub.
10.5.2 Retightening of the toothed belt
ATTENTION
Do not use any auxiliary aids to tighten the belt. Do not prop up the
S-Former E while tightening the screws.

1. Remove the cover as described in
2. In order to retighten the toothed belt of the
second gear stage, the four M5x20 sock-
et-head screws must be loosened without being
removed.
3. Holding the S-Former E at the motor

in the
air will ensure that the toothed belt is suffi-
ciently tightened by the weight force of the front
assembly group
B
.
4. Slightly twist the spindle so that the toothed belt
is seated correctly in the toothing.
5. Then, retighten the four socket-head screws
while continuing to hold the S-Former E verti-
cally in the air.

6. In order to retighten the toothed belt of the first
gear stage, the two spacers must be loosened.
7. Loosen both M4x20 and M4x12 socket-head
screws without removing them.
8. Holding the S-Former E at the motor

9. Slightly twist the spindle so that the toothed belt

10. Then, retighten the four socket-head screws
