1. In order for the tool size to be changed, the collet
3
and the reducer
2
must first be adjusted.
2. Remove the tool
5
as described in
.
3. 3. Completely unscrew the clamping nut
4
from the spindle
1
.
4. 4. Replace the collet
3
and the reducer
2
.
The reducer
6
is used for the tool’s length compensation and attachment position, as well as a square
wheel driver. The inner square (yellow) includes the tool square end, and the outer square (red) is seated
in the square end of the spindle.
5. Select a reducer whose length and inner square are a suitable fit for the tool to be used.
6. During assembly, ensure that the groove (yellow) of the collet
7
engages with the eccentric forming
(yellow) of the clamping nut (8). Only this will ensure the proper functioning of the collet.
7. When inserting the tool with the reducer
2
, collet

and clamping nut

in the spindle
1
,
ensure that the square end of the
8. tool locks into the inner square (yellow) of the reducer
6
and its outer square (red) into the square
end of the spindle by slightly twisting the tool.
In the case of tools with a shaft diameter of 8 mm and a square end of 6.2 mm (e.g. an M8 threading
tool), the reducer is not used
6
. The square end of the spindle
1
is used instead.
