9 ROPE MARKING
PROCEDURE 9 PROCEDURE DE
MARQUAGE DU CABLE
Make the following steps on the free end of
the rope (steel or synthetic):
1. Position a tape in L length (see table
below)
This length includes: the number of dead
turns wraps on the drum + 2x the distance
drum / hawse fairlead. This means that when
the marking appears in the process, the
number of dead wraps on the drum is always
assured.
2. Paint in red between the end of the rope
and the tape. (At least 2 layers) Let it dry
3. Remove the tape and wind the rope on the
drum following the procedure.
Réaliser sur l’extrémité libre du câble (acier
ou synthétique) le marquage suivant les
étapes ci-après :
1. Positionner un scotch en respectant la
longueur L (voir tableau ci-dessous)
Cette longueur comprend : le nombre de
tours morts sur le tambour + 2x la distance
tambour/ écubier. Cela veut donc dire que
quand le marquage apparait au déroulement,
le nombre de tours mort sur le tambour est
toujours assuré.
2. Peindre en rouge
entre l’extrémité du câble
et le scotch posé. (Au moins 2 couches)
Laissez sécher.
3. Retirer le scotch et enrouler le câble sur le
tambour en suivant la procédure.
L pour câble acier / steel wire rope = 900 mm
L pour câble synthétique / synthetic rope = 1600 mm
