Lippert Solara® Power Awnings (if so equipped)
Each power awning will have its own control switch, which is typically located on the com-
mand center switch panel located inside the entrance door. Pressing and holding the switch
will extend or retract the awning.
Extending the Awning
Locate and unlock the locking latch on the driver side
awning arm (if so equipped). (
Fig 1 and 2
)
Press and hold the EXTEND button (
Fig 3
) until the awning is completely ex-
tended. Extension is complete when the awning valance seam reaches the leading
edge of the awning tube (
Fig 4
).
Retracting the Awning
Press and hold RETRACT (
Fig 3
) until the awning is re-
tracted completely.
Lock the locking latch (if so equipped) on the driver side
awning arm (
Fig 1 and 2).
If the latch is not present, the
awning is secured and ready for transportation.
Over extending the awning will roll the awning back
up the wrong way and could damage the system and
will void the Limited Warranty.
Tying the roll bar down once extended will not allow
the free floating support arms to work as designed
and may cause damage to the awning or the RV.
NOTE:
Verify the battery is fully charged
and connected to the electrical system before
extending or retracting the awning.
Awnings must be closed (and locked if applicable) while the RV is in
transit.
The effects of wind and rain on an awning are unpredictable and can
cause severe damage to the awning and/or the RV. If wind or extended
periods of rain are expected, retract the awning.
It is recommended that if leaving the recreation vehicle unattended for a
length of time you should retract the awning to avoid unexpected weather
conditions.
