1.7 Dangers when Handling the Device
The AccuBind
Pro
2 has been designed in accordance with the state-of-the-art and approved safety
rules. Dangers may nevertheless arise for the user or third parties if the device is not used in accor-
dance with the instructions or for another than the intended use. It is also possible for the device or
other material assets to be damaged. Defects that may affect safety must be rectified immediately.
The device may only be used:

For the intended use;
•
In a technically safe faultless condition.
1.8 Organizational Measures
Necessary personal protective equipment has to be provided by the operator. All available safety de-
vices have to be regularly checked before work commences.
1.9 Informal Safety Measures
The operating instructions have to be kept at the device’s site of operation all the time.
Supplementary to the operating instructions, general as well as local regulations for the prevention of
accidents and environmental protection have to be made available and have to be complied with.
All safety and danger information has to be maintained in a legible condition.
1.10 Training of Personnel
Only instructed personnel may work on the device. Personnel to be instructed may only work on the
device under the supervision of an experienced person.
Personnel responsibilities for assembly, start-up, operation, maintenance and repair have to be
clearly defined.
1.11 Dangers as a Result of Electrical Energy
Work on the electrical equipment of the device may only be carried out by a trained electrician or in-
structed persons under the guidance and supervision of a trained electrician in accordance with elec-
tro technical rules.
The device’s electrical equipment has to be checked on a regular basis. Loose connections and
scorched cables have to be removed immediately.
Defective fuses may only be replaced with approved spare parts of equal specification.
