Disposal and environmental protection
English
Dispose of packaging in an environment-friendly manner and in compliance with
binding laws and directives.
European Directive 2002/96/EC on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) states
that used household devices may not be disposed of with unsorted communal waste. These
used devices must be collected separately from regular household rubbish in order to increase
the share of recovered devices and to recycle their materials with the objective of minimising
the impact on human health and on nature.
The symbol of a crossed out rubbish bin is placed on all devices as a reminder of the
obligation to separate. Consumers must consult local authorities or the seller for
information on how to dispose of the device.
• Once the end of the device’s lifespan is reached, render the device useless by
removing the plug from the socket and severing the cable.
• Make sure that packaging materials are disposed of properly. Inquire with your
municipality regarding collection points and rubbish separation.
