AUTO LIGHT, HIGH BEAM, PASSING AND BATTERY SAVER
Auto Headlamp
Headlamp and tail lamp will automatically come on and off accord-
ing to the ambient illumination intensity when the light switch is at
AUTO (
f
: AUTO) position.
Battery Saver (Automatically Turning OFF the Tail Lamp)
To prevent the battery from discharging, the tail lamp will automati-
cally go out when the driver gets off (or when the driver’s door is open
and close) with the tail lamp on.
With the tail lamps on, if you get off the vehicle (you open and close
the driver’s door) after the ignition key is removed, the tail lamps will
automatically turn off.
You may turn the tail lamp on by positioning the ignition switch on or
turning the light switch off and then turn on again.
1. High Beam
After turning on the headlamp, push
the lever to turn on the headlamp high
beam. Then, the indicator lamp on the
instrument cluster will come on.
2. Passing
Pull the lever toward you temporarily
to turn on the headlamp high beam
and release the lever to turn it off re-
gardless of its position.
3. Turn Signal Lamp
Push the lever up or down to signal
a turning direction, then the turn sig-
nal lamps will blink. It shuts off auto-
matically as you complete the turn.

(B) Downward: left turn signal lamp
z
Do not place any objects blocking the
sensor. Do not clean the sensor with
detergent or wax.
z
In a foggy, snowing, raining, or cloudy
day, use manual mode. The operating
time of the lamps varies according to
the climate, season, or circumstances.
z
The tinted window may cause the im-
proper operation of the auto light
system.
CAUTION
Driving with high beam headlamps dis-
turbs the approaching vehicle’s visibility.
Use the high beam headlamp only dur-
