OPENING AND CLOSING (WINDOWS AND OTHERS)

ENGINE HOOD

To unlock the hood, pull up the en-
gine hood opening lever (A).

Open

1. Engine Hood Opening Lever

2. Hood Lock Release Lever

To raise or lower the hood up or down
from 47° (90°) to 90° (47°), slightly
lower the hood and raise or lower it
while pressing the hood hinge lever.

3. Hood

4. Hood Hinge Lever

To raise the hood, pull the hood lock
release lever located at the radiator
grill and lift the hood up. The hood will
be opened to a degree of up to 47°.

Make sure that your clothes or tools do not
contact or tangle with any moving parts in
the engine compartment when the hood is
open.

z

Before driving, always check that the hood
is firmly closed and locked.

z

When it is windy, extra caution is needed
to prevent personal injury. Wind might be
able to lift up the hood and the prop rod
may be disengaged from its slot. This may
result in an unexpected closing of the
hood.

WARNING

For safety reasons, make sure that
the lower part of the hinge is se-
curely fixed (V-shaped groove).
