Serial I/O
These settings configure the RAC’s serial data ports.
RS-422 In
Configures the RS- 422 serial data input.
Baudrate
Selects the receive baudrate.
Settings: 4800 Baud
Data is received at 4800 Baud
(standard according to NMEA / IEC 61162-1).
9600 Baud
Data is received at 9600 Baud
(non-standard).
38400 Baud
Data is received at 38400 Baud
(high-speed, not compliant to IEC 61162-2)
Messages
Selects the NMEA sentences to receive.
Settings RSA
In a dual rudder system, evaluate the $--RSA sentence
received from another RAC.
If a stb. Rudder Angle Calibrator receives a valid port angle
or if a port RAC receives a valid stb. angle, the unit transmits
a $--RSA sentence containing both of these angles.
Select (check) this option in a dual rudder system where the
stb. and port RACs are connected via a serial data crosslink.
De-select (uncheck) this option in all other cases.
