your module for:

User-defined scaling

Section 5.1
PID Control
Your input module was designed to work directly with the SLC 5/02, 5/ 03, and
5/04 PID instruction—without an intermediate scaling operation. Use the input
channel data as the process variable in the PID instruction.
Example:
Suppose your input module is in slot 3, and you have a level sensor
with a 4–20 mA range connected to channel 0. The following figures show you
how to use it for PID control:
