The EBarCo (byte 02, bit 0) bit indicates whether the bar code scanner is enabled, as
follows:

• 0—bar code reader is disabled

• 1—bar code reader is enabled

This bit can also be set with the

MODE SELECT

command.

Note:

Both of these options are enabled (bits set to 1) by default if a bar
code reader is installed in the Spectra 2K library.
