3 Description
3.1 Design
3.1.1 Pump
The interior components of the SUPS range, such as impellers,
intermediate stages with diffusers, shafts and housing, are made
from stainless steel.
The interior components of the SUPI range, such as impellers and
intermediate stages with diffusers are made from high-quality
plastic. The shaft and wear ring are made from stainless steel.
The plastic intermediate stages are protected by a metal cover.
The motor lantern is screwed into one end and the connection
sleeve for the riser pipe is in the other end.
Due to the aforementioned construction, there is minimal starting
torque.
3.1.2 Motor
The pump is driven by a special motor which is connected to the
pump with four mounting bolts. The torque is transmitted via an
interlocked coupling. Thus, in case of replacement, the pump and
motor can easily be separated from one another.
The motor connection cable can be detached from the motor. The
motor housing is made from stainless steel. The gaps in the motor
winding are filled with synthetic resin. In addition, a reliable shaft
seal and the stainless can in the gap between the rotor and stator
protect the motor winding.
The motor is filled with a special frost-protected fluid by the
manufacturer. There is a declaration of clearance for the
composition of the fluid (protection against the contamination of
drinking water).
NOTICE
The freezing point of the motor fluid is -15 °C.
