See specific description of every respirator to find the corrugated hose compatible with every respirator.
3.4 EOD 55 Filter silencer (7)
Made of shockproof polypropylene provided with female thread connector for the flow regulator
AC 95
and
with male thread connector for the corrugated hose.
3.5 AC 95 Flow regulator (8)
It is made of an aluminium alloy nickel plated body and provided with a screw thread connector for the filter
silencer and with a male quick coupling for the connection to tube coming from the compressed air line. The
flow regulator is designed to provide a continuous flow not lower than 120 l/min and working rate adjustable
from 165 to 230 l/min: A special device releases an acoustic signal (continuous whistle), in case the pressure
of the feeding air falls below the designed value (120 l/min).
The flow regulator is mounted, together with its special support, on a waist belt. An identification label is placed
on the waist belt bearing the model name, the production year, the
marking.
The AC 95 is available in two versions:
1.
with Spasciani quick couplings
2.
with Eurocoupling couplings
3.6
Flowmeter
(only ACS)
Flow meter made of clear polycarbonate (9). A notch indicates the minimum design air flow which is reached
when the ball overpasses it. Fitted with threaded connector pitch 38 for hose
TUR 609
and
TUR 909
.
3.7 Compressed air feeding hoses (10)
(not included in respirators kits)
Neoprene hose 8 x 17, non toxic, fitted with safety quick connectors.
They are sold separately and can be supplied in different length cuts.
They are available with male and female quick couplings type Spasciani for the connection to the flow regula-
tor AC 95 provided with male quick coupling type Spasciani (P/N 932100000) or with male and female quick
couplings Eurocoupling for the connection to AC 95 flow regulators bearing the same type of male coupling
(P/N 9321000CJ).

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
4.1 Air Supply
The respirators described in this booklet shall be fed from a breathable air line at a pressure ranging from 5 to
6 bar with a minimum delivery of 250 l/min for every single man connected.
4.2 Connection to the air line
As far as the connection of the air line is concerned, please refer to the diagrams shown in table 1.
4.3 Donning
• Fasten waist belt with
AC 95
regulator around the waist.
• Screw the
EOD 55
filter onto the regulator
AC 95
without taking off the spongy foam inserted in the filter
connector.
• Screw the corrugated hose onto the
EOD 55
filter silencer.
• Connect via quick connector the feeding hose to the
AC 95
regulator.
When the flow regulator is completely closed, it delivers 165 l/min at 5 bar. If the flow is below 120 l/min,
the acoustic warning is operated. To re-conduct the flow at the correct setting, open the flow regulator until
the whistle stops. If the correct flow 165 l/min cannot be achieved, check the air line and compressor.
Whenever you start a work shift, keep the flow regulator in the closed position (minimum flow rate, 165
l/min). For
ACS respirators it is possible
to check the air flow by screwing the flowmeter onto the corru-
gated hose. If the ball inside overpasses the notch the minimum flow is achieved, unscrew the flowmeter
and screw the corrugated hose to the facepiece then you can wear it. The flow regulator at the maximum
flow rate (6 bar) and in the totally open position can deliver a flow up to 230 l/min.
