Charging the battery

Charge your Walkman by connecting it to a computer.

1.  Connect your Walkman to a computer that is turned on and running using the supplied USB cable.

[Charged.] is displayed on the lock screen when charging is complete.
It takes about 3 hours to fully charge the battery.

2.  Disconnect your Walkman from the computer when charging is complete.

If your Walkman is connected as a USB storage, drag the status bar of the Walkman, and then tap [Turn off USB
storage] on the notification panel. Tap [Turn off USB storage] displayed on the screen of your Walkman.
With a Mac computer, click the “WALKMAN” eject icon in the sidebar of the Finder to disconnect your Walkman.

Hint

When you use your Walkman for the first time, or if you have not used the Walkman for a long time, it is best to
charge the battery fully.

Note

If a large battery symbol is displayed while you are charging your Walkman, the remaining charge is still too low for
the Walkman to operate. Charge it continuously for about 10 minutes before attempting any operations, and then
the Walkman will start automatically.
