Problem
Causes/measures
This device does not
respond to any operations.
This device does not work
correctly.
The internal battery may have run out (“No battery power remaining”
appears, or no message appears). Plug this device into a wall outlet
(page 21).
The internal system of this device may have a malfunction. The device
may have electronic noise from being dropped; a power surge; or static
electricity. Disconnect the AC adapter, and turn the BATTERY switch
to OFF. After about 30 seconds, plug in the AC adapter again.
While this device is connecting to a computer via the USB cable, it
does not respond to any button operations on the main unit or the
remote control. Disconnect the USB cable.
You cannot operate this device
with the remote control.
The battery of the remote control may not be inserted correctly. Insert
the battery into the remote control correctly (page 18).
The speakers do not emit
sound.
The [Options] - [Audio Out] option may be set to [Line/Optical]. Set
the option to [Speaker] (page 49).
Headphones may be plugged into this device. Disconnect them.
Your headphones do not emit
sound.
Your headphones may not be plugged securely into this device. Plug
them in securely.
Your audio device that is
connected to the LINE OUT
jack or the OPTICAL OUT
jack does not emit sound.
The [Options] - [Audio Out] option may be set to [Speaker]. Set the
option to [Line/Optical] (page 49).
Headphones may be plugged into this device. Disconnect them.
“Volume cannot be adjusted
when audio out is set to line/
optical” appears.
If the [Options] - [Audio Out] option is set to [Line/Optical], you
cannot adjust the volume.
The backlight of the display
window and control panel
does not light up even though
you stand in front of this
device.
If this device is in standby mode, the backlight does not light up
automatically because the sensor is not working.
If the air temperature is almost the same as your body temperature, it
is difficult for the sensor to detect your presence, so the backlight may
not light up automatically. Press the LIGHT button.
The latter part of the music
title, radio station name, etc.
does not appear.
By system limitations, the display window displays up to about 120
characters (PC Streaming Function/Web Radio Function) or 60
characters (Internal Memory Function) for one title.
