You can disconnect the i.LINK digital video recorder when the computer is on or off. Simply unplug the i.LINK cable from the

i.LINK / DC IN/OUT port 

on the computer. 

  

 Disconnecting the DV device when the computer is in a power saving mode (Standby or Hibernate) may cause the
