Chapter 3 Using the Web Administration Screen
Tape Volumes
From the [Tape Volumes] screen, you can display a list of the tape volumes
(AIT cartridges) in the AIT library.
Tape volume display
Displays the status and used rate for each tape volume (AIT cartridge).
• User Area
: Tape volumes designated for users
• System Area
: Tape volumes designated for use in backing up the system.
• Scrap Volume : A tape volume that has exceeded the recommended number
of uses.
Note
A tape volume that has exceeded the recommended number of uses is moved to
the [Scrap Volume] column after its contents have been copied to another tape
volume. Normally, [Scrap Volume] is not displayed. If [Scrap Volume] is
displayed, the corresponding AIT cartridge needs to be exchanged for a new
one. For more details, contact your dealer.
The following information is displayed for each tape volume.
• Volume
: The name of the tape volume (The barcode label number on the
AIT cartridge)
• Status
: The status of the tape volume
