Caution

information necessary for system recovery.
Note
The addresses designated here will receive the three types of e-mail below.
Tape migration policy
You can set requirements for migrating files from the hard disks to the AIT
cartridges.
• Last access time: Set the maximum number of days from the last time a file
was accessed (the atime attribute of UNIX files). Files that are not accessed
for longer than this are targeted for migration to AIT cartridge.
• Size: Input in units of KB. Files over this limit are targeted for migration to
AIT cartridge. Input a value larger than that of the stub file size (see below).
• Stub file size: Input in 4KB units. The value set here becomes the actual size
of the stub file that remains on the main server when the original file is
migrated to AIT cartridge. It will not affect the size of files stored only on the
main server.
Misc. configuration
• PetaServe API: Selecting this box, activates the PetaServe API (Application
Program Interface).
PetaServe API may be required when connecting to the application server. For
more details, contact your dealer.
• HNF OFM: Selecting this box activates the offline volume management
function. You can then use the OFM (OFfline volume Management) function
to eject a volume from a library, which enables you to use more volumes than
the capacity of a library.
