Record

ing

1.

Press the MENU button during standby.

2.

Set “GPS” of the System menu to “On.”

 appears and the camcorder prepares for 

acquiring positioning.
The positioning information is recorded 
while recording video when acquiring 
positioning.

Notes

• The icon that is displayed on the screen changes 

depending on the reception status of the signals from 
the satellite.

• In the default setting, “GPS” is set to “On.” 

When “GPS” is set to “On,” location 
information and positioning time of the video 
that is recorded are also recorded. To record 
positioning information, set “GPS” to “On.”

• It may take time to start positioning after 

turning the camcorder on.

• If the icon does not indicate the positioning 

status after several minutes, the GPS signal 
reception status is poor. Move to a place with a 
clear view of the sky. If recording starts in that 

status, positioning information cannot be 
recorded.

• The GPS signal may not be received well 

indoors or near a tall building. Move to a place 
with a clear view of the sky.

• Even though the icon indicates positioning, the 

GPS information recording may cut off 
depending on the signal reception status.
