1-3. Removal and Installation of Camera
Block
1-3-1. Camera Block
1. Remove the front cover. (Refer to Section 1-2-1)
2. Remove the upper cover and lower cover. (Refer to
Section 1-2-2)
3. Remove the pan cover (F) and pan cover (B). (Refer to
Section 1-2-3)
4. Remove the pan cover (R) and pan cover (L). (Refer to
Section 1-2-4)
5. Remove the insulating plate in the direction indicated
by the arrow A.
6. Disconnect the two flexible flat cables from one
connector on the MC-141 board and one connector on
the VC-292 board, then remove the harness retainer in
the direction indicated by the arrow B.
7. Loosen the two screws (M 2
x
6.5) in the coupling.
8. Remove the tape and disconnect one flexible flat cable
from the connector on the DC motor.
9. Remove the two screws (M 2.6
x
4), then remove the
DC motor.
10. Remove the lock portion of the shaft boss using a flat
screwdriver tip, etc. and rotate it in the direction
indicated by the arrow C.
11. Remove the shaft boss, then remove the camera block.
12. Attach the camera block in the reverse order of steps 1
to 11.

When attaching the camera block to the DC motor shaft,
tighten the two screws (M 2
x
6.5) in the coupling while
pushing the camera block toward the DC motor. In case
that the camera block is not securely attached, the pan
cover (L) rubs against the upper cover and the lower cover,
resulting in abnormal operation of the camera block.
