[Digital signal circuit]
• The output voltage of the JOYBALL is led to CN104.
The X-component of the output voltage is then fed to the
Port E bit0 and the Y-component to the Port E bit1 of the
micro-computer, where the component data are A/D
converted. The converted data are then fed into the IF-
511 board through the UART (IC111), the line driver/
receiver IC (IC112), and CN103 as operating data for
PAN/TILTER. The micro-computer continuously
controls the key scan circuit of the KIO-9 board. Once
the key is depressed, the key data are fed to the micro-
computer through CN104. The micro-computer sends
data to the LCD module and the on-screen-display IC
(IC103), according to the data received. The data from
the controller is, on the other hand, sent to the micro-
computer through CN103, the line driver/receiver IC
(IC112), and the UART (IC111). The micro-computer
sends data to the LCD module and the on-screen-display
IC (IC103), according to the data received.
Key Matrix Board (KIO-9)
• The board consists of the key scan circuit 8255A
(IC301) and the LED drive circuit.
[Key scan circuit]
• IC301 sends the scan data consecutively from the Port B
according to the input data from CN301. The data of the
depressed key are led to the Port A. The switches,
SW301 - SW349, form a matrix circuit, and according to
the data given from the Port A and Port B the circuit
determines which switch is depressed.
[LED drive circuit]
• The buffer IC (IC302) drives LED’s. With the Port set in
“LOW” mode, the LED illuminates.
The Port setting of the 8255A (IC301) is as follows:
PA0 - PA7: Key scan input
PB0 - PB5: Key scan output
PC0, PC1: LED drive output
Connector Board (IF-511)
• The board consists of the key board and the connectors
for connection with external equipment.
• The input video signals from CN203 are terminated by a
75
Ω
impedance and sent to the SY-211 board through
CN202. The output video signals are, on the other hand,
sent to CN204 through CN202 with the impedance of
75
Ω
. The data exchange with the controller is
established through CN205 (modular) and those data are
sent to the SY-211 board through CN201.
JOYBALL Section
• The JOYBALL section is a joy stick type which uses a
piezoelectric device. The piezoelectric device produces
voltages when mechanically strained. The voltages are
proportional to strains given to the device in X- and Y-
directions.
LCD Module Section (LM40X21B)
• The LCD module section consists of the dot-matrix LCD
panel (negative-type), the drive circuit, the controller
LSI, and the LED’s illuminating in yellow-green. The
micro-computer controls the module.
