To register tracks into a group
In step 6, press
V
or
v
repeatedly to select
the number of the first track you want to
register, then press ENTER/YES.
When registering only one track, press ENTER/
YES again.
When registering two or more tracks, press
V
or
v
repeatedly to select the number of the last
track you want to register, then press ENTER/
YES.
Notes
• You cannot register the same track to more than one
group.
• If you do not enter a group title in step 5, “Group **
(group number)” appears as the group title.
Tip
You can also register tracks that were recorded on a
system that does not support the Group Function.
These functions allow you to release group
registrations simply by specifying the group for
which you want to release the registrations. In
addition, you can also release the registrations of
all groups on an MD at once.

information, see “Registering tracks in groups”
on page 49.
Releasing a single group
— Group Release Function
You can release a specified group and erase that
group. (However, note that the tracks are not
erased.)
Open the lid before performing the following
operations.

Press FUNCTION repeatedly to switch
the function to MD.

Press MD GROUP repeatedly until
“GROUP ON” appears.

Press GROUP SKIP repeatedly until the
desired group appears.

Press MENU/NO.
