TEST TONE
It can output the test tone (1 kHz).
Procedure:
1. Enter the servicing mode.
(Refer to “1. Setting method of servicing mode” on page 24)
2. Press the buttons on the remote commander that correspond to
each test tone modes in order, and transmit the test code to the
main unit (Refer to the following table).
Note:
Press the each button in 150 ms or more interval, and perform the all
button operations in 7 seconds or less.

3. At the time of test tone is outputted, it can change the volume
with the volume knob, and if it is switched the function by
pressing the input select button, it can stop the output of test
tone (1 kHz).
MODULE I/F TEST
It can check the propriety of the I2C communication between the
system controller and the MFI (APPLE authentication IC).
(Refer to “LED position” on page 24 about position of LED)
Procedure:

each module I/F test modes in order, and transmit the test code
to the main unit (Refer to the following table).

3. When module I/F test mode is activated, if the I2C commu-
nication between the system controller and the MFI (APPLE
authentication IC) is normal, all status LEDs light off, and if
the I2C communication between the system controller and the
MFI (APPLE authentication IC) is abnormal, status LED “1”
