DESTINATION ABBREVIATIONS
The following abbreviations for model destinations are used in this
service manual.
• Abbreviations
CEL : European, East European, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia,
Vietnam models
CH : Chinese model
CND : Canadian model
KR
: Korean model
TH : Thai model
TW : Taiwan model
CHECKING THE OPERATION AFTER REPAIR
After repair completion, connect the PC, “iPod” or “iPhone”,
“Walkman”, smartphone and so on corresponding to this unit, and
check the operation of playback, charge and so on.
For each operation checks, download the following software from
the support web site and so on of Sony system stereo as necessary,
and use them.
• Media Go (Management and playback of music including Hi-
Res sound quality that it saved on the PC)
• SongPal (Controlling of corresponding Sony audio device
from smartphone and iPhone)
• Hi-Res Audio Player (High quality playback of music includ-
ing Hi-Res sound quality that it saved on the PC (Bit Perfect
play back by ASIO driver))
• Driver for USB terminal (Driver needed in order to use this unit in
Windows OS (It is not necessary to install the driver in Mac OS))
NOTE OF REPLACING THE NETWORK BOARD
When the NETWORK board is defective, replace the complete
mounted board.
NOTE OF REPLACING THE CN666, IC408, IC650,
IC651, IC652 AND IC901 ON THE MAIN BOARD
CN666, IC408, IC650, IC651, IC652 and IC901 on the MAIN
board cannot replace with single. When these parts are damaged,
replace the complete mounted board.
NOTE OF REPLACING THE CN1100 AND CN1101 ON
THE B TO B BOARD
CN1100 and CN1101 on the B TO B board cannot replace with
single. When these parts are damaged, replace the complete
mounted board.
NOTE OF REPLACING THE CN003 AND IC210 ON
THE AMP BOARD
CN003 and IC210 on the AMP board cannot replace with single.
When these parts are damaged, replace the complete mounted board.
DISPOSAL OF SPEAKER TERMINAL BOARD CAP
(Korean model only)
When the AMP board or speaker terminal board (Ref. No. TB200
or TB201) of Korean model is replaced, remove the red and black
caps that have been attached to the speaker terminal board.
The caps are not used in the Korean model.
Note: The caps are included in the Part No. of speaker terminal board.

TYPE-11/TYPE-12 DISCRIMINATION OF AMP, LED AND
VOL BOARDS (US, Canadian, Chinese, Taiwan and Thai
models only)
The AMP, LED and VOL boards of US, Canadian, Chinese, Taiwan
and Thai models have been changed in the midway of production.
Distinguish the type by checking the Part No. that printed on the
board about the type of the AMP, LED and VOL boards.
Note 1:
It does not use the Type-11 in the AMP, LED and VOL boards of
CEL and Korean models.
Note 2: When the MAIN board is replaced, it might be necessary to note
the combination with the AMP board.
Refer to service manual supplement-1 at the same time.

CHANGE OF MAIN BOARD
The MAIN board has been changed in the midway of production.
When the MAIN board is replaced, it might be necessary to note
the combination with the AMP board.
Refer to service manual supplement-1 for detail.
JIG
Use the following jig for connecting the CN666 on the MAIN
board and CN003 on the AMP board.
