SECTION 1

5.1.2  Battery-powered operation (in cases of black-out)

Following a failure of the mains power supply or a
condition of mains out of the accepted limits, the UPS
goes immediately into battery-powered operation without
disturbance of the power supply to the application.
An acoustic and a visual signal show the battery
operation status.

The acoustic alarm may be muted temporarily by

pressing the “ON” button for 3 sec.

In the event of a prolonged mains failure, when battery
back-up will soon run out, the imminent shutdown is
clearly signalled: “battery low” condition.
The battery LED bar is almost out, the buzzer sounds
again automatically at a more frequent rate (and can no
longer be muted).

It is recommended to close down applications manually if

the automatic shutdown procedure has not been
activated via the specific software installed on the
computer.

WARNING! your application

REMAINS

 powered but

residual operation time is nearly out!

When the regular mains power supply returns, normal

operation is restored automatically.

Your application

IS

powered by the UPS with continuous

power ensured and the battery is recharged automatically.

If the black-out is not reset, the UPS provides power to

the application until the batteries are completely
discharged or until shutdown is activated through the
software.

The output is thus disconnected while awaiting the return

of the mains.

When the mains is restored, the UPS will start again

automatically.

WARNING

A few hours are needed to guarantee recharging of the

batteries and return them to fully operative conditions

.

Your application is NOT powered.
