Remove the nuts and bolts from each side of the tire axle,
as shown (Fig. 44).

Remove the 4 hex screws from the bottom panel and
disconnect the LED wire (Fig. 45).

Remove hex screws, washers and nuts as shown and take
the gear assembly out (Fig. 46).
5.
Remove the drive belt (Fig. 47).
6.
Roll the new drive belt onto the gear assembly then
reinstall by following the above steps in reverse order.
Lubrication
Auger Shaft
At least once a season, remove the shear bolts from the
auger shafts. Spray lubricant inside the shafts and around the
spacers and the flange bearings/bushings found at either end
of the shafts.
Auger Gearcase
Gearcases are filled to the correct level at the factory. Unless
there is evidence of leakage, no additional lubricant should be
required. Check lubricant level each season or every 25 hours
of operation.
To ensure adequate lubricant level:
1.
Using the hex key, remove fill plug [1] and air exhausting
plugs [2] and [3]. Lubricant must be at least up to bottom
of lubricant filler hole with unit resting on a level surface
(Fig. 48).
